This drive-through lights show has been made extra-special by the addition of several new displays that will delight visitors, along with popular hold-over displays such as the Naval Academy midshipmen tossing their hats in the air and a replica of a Colonial village inspired by historic Annapolis.

There are two ways to enjoy the Lights On The Bay from the Holly Trolley: join us on a Public Tour, or arrange for your own Private Charter.

PUBLIC TOURS

Park for free at the Doubletree Hotel off Riva Road. Enjoy a hot beverage and famous Doubletree chocolate chip cookie, then board the Holly Trolley and enjoy Christmas carols on the ride to Sandy Point State Park.

Allow about one hour from departure to return, BUT NOTE that on some Fridays and Saturdays there can be a significant wait at the entrance (especially the weekend before Christmas Day).

Tour departs Friday and Saturdays at 7:00 and 9:00, and Sundays at 6:00 and 8:00, December 4 - 27.

Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your tour to allow time to park, use the toilets, and enjoy refreshments before boarding.

Reserved tickets are required. Tickets are $12/person (all ages), including the on-line service fee. Infants and toddlers on laps are free.

Your print-at-home ticket includes a coupon good for a cup of the Doubletree Hotel's Ports-of-Call restaurant cream of crab soup with every entree ordered. Chef Charles McKnew's recipe took the People's Choice "Best of Show" award at the 2009 Seafood Festival! Enjoy dinner at the Doubletree before or after viewing the "Lights."

Terms of Purchase:

  1. All sales are final. There will be no refunds or rainchecks. Tickets are transferrable to another person, but not another date.
  2. Seating per vehicle is "first come, first serve." No particular seat is guaranteed.
  3. Once assigned to a vehicle and date, seats cannot be moved to another vehicle and/or date.
  4. No alcohol or tobacco products are allowed on board any tour vehicle. No exceptions.
  5. The driver has the right to terminate the tour without refund if there is blatant lack of cooperation on the part of the customer.
  6. For multiple orders, seating is not guaranteed on the same vehicle as previous order(s).
  7. The maximum number of seats per trolley is 23. No one will be allowed to stand in the aisle.

PRIVATE CHARTERS

We come to you! Book a private tour, all your own, for a new family tradition! We'll come to your home, community clubhouse, restaurant or wherever. Your family and friends or business associates will board the Holly Trolley and sing along to Christmas music as we travel to Sandy Point State Park and view the Lights On The Bay!

Allow about one hour from pickup at your home or office in the greater Annapolis area until we return.

Private tours are $215 for up to 23 people. Two trolleys for $430 can seat up to 46 people. Price includes admission to Lights On The Bay, which benefits the Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Tours with pickups outside the Annapolis area are available; travel surcharges may apply. Contact us for more information.

We have a selection of holiday music to choose from, or bring your own! The Holly Trolley is equipped with CD and MP3 players.

Lights On The Bay is open November 20 through January 1 from 5 to 10 pm for private charters.

We will email or fax a contract to you that you can return wiith full payment (check/money order or credit card) within five business days of receiving the contract (or the date will open back up).

GENERAL INFORMATION

The trolley is heated, but dress according to weather conditions. Windows sometimes fog up; we provide paper towels to keep them clear.

Smoking and standing are never permitted. Your driver cannot move the vehicle with more than 23 passengers. Toddlers on laps are permitted.

Please finish any alcoholic beverage before boarding. More on this subject...

Any tour may be cancelled due to severe weather, mechanical breakdown, or other circumstances. If we must cancel, your money will be refunded.

I want to thank you and your driver for a great tour of the Lights on the Bay last night! All the people who went enjoyed it very much. The driver, Mr. Murphy, was very courteous and helpful. He drove very slowly and we were able to see everything very well....

The Christmas Carols were geat and the driver put one [CD] on we brought. It was a delightful evening. One of the ladies belonged to another group of Red Hat Ladies and she asked for information and the driver gave her a card because she is planning to do the same thing with her group.
